These blueberry basil moscow mules are a summery take on the classic mule! Fruity, fresh, and slightly herby. These will be your new favorite cocktail!
Begin by making the simple syrup. Bring water, blueberries, and sugar to a boil and stir until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in basil leaves. Let cool completely.
To make the cocktail, add a small handful of blueberries and 1 basil leaf to a glass. Muddle the blueberries and basil until fragrant and juicy. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
Add a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Add the vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup and shake for 30 seconds. Pour into the glass and top with the ginger beer. Garnish with a few basil leaves, blueberries, and a lime wedge or two. Enjoy!
*Makes enough simple syrup for more than one mule (around 4-5 total)
