So instead of giving you a Thanksgiving side recipe today which I was planning on, here is a delicious healthy smoothie that’ll help to get you on track and feeling refreshed after tomorrow’s feast. I can’t WAIT for tomorrow, but we all need a little healthy smoothie to get us back on track during the holidays. So many baked goods and desserts and casseroles and turkey and mashed potatoes and butter and cocktails..it’s so worth it (my favorite time of year), but this smoothie will make you feel AMAZING. I’ve had it for a post workout snack all week and it’s been perfect.

Oh and the Thanksgiving side recipe (it’s really a just a comfort food recipe for any time) will be coming soon. (Four Cheese Mac and Cheese with Sage Browned Butter Breadcrumbs!)

For this smoothie, you’ll only need 7 ingredients! And it contains alll the superfoods you’ll ever need.

Makes 2 smoothies.

1 frozen acai packet (I use the Sambazon brand from Whole Foods. They come in packs of 4)
1/3 c. frozen bluberries
1/2 of a sliced frozen banana (I always have frozen bananas in the freezer for smoothies..they make them so thick and creamy!)
1/3 c. plain Greek yogurt (I used 0% Fage)
1 1/2 c. spinach
1 T. chia seeds
1 c. unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
