If you’re like me, you drink smoothies more once the weather starts to get better and when you want to detox from a weekend of overindulgence. I absolutely LOVE smoothies for breakfast and for post workout. They are such an amazing way to get your greens in, add superfoods, and get the protein and carbs you need to replenish after a good gym session. I personally drink them year round, but more and more once spring is in the air. These are two of my faves. I hope you enjoy!

Pineapple Green Smoothie

Serves 1:

2 large handfuls spinach
1 medium banana, previously sliced and frozen

1/3 c. 0% plain Greek yogurt
3 pitted dates, chopped
2 tsp. flaxseed meal
1 1/2 c. unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until smooth. (I blend mine for a long time, a few minutes). Enjoy immediately!
