These Boozy S’mores Milkshakes are filled with chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, coffee liquer, milk, and dark chocolate fudge sauce. As if that wasn’t enough, they get topped with whipped cream, more chocolate fudge sauce, and toasted marshmallows! Such a fun treat for summer and 4th of July!

(This post is sponsored by Chocolove! Thank you so so much for reading and supporting the brands that I love!)

These are the most fun dessert/snack I’ve made in awhile. So incredibly decadent, and so worth it. I basically combined all of the components of s’mores, and blended it with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, and coffee liquer. And then added whipped cream on top, homemade chocolate fudge sauce, and MORE toasted marshmallows. Like, there’s toasted marshmallows blended IN the milkshake, and on top. I’m serious. 😍

They’re so decadent in the best way and should definitely be consumed on the 4th! They’re super easy to make, and the only thing you have to actually “cook” is the chocolate fudge sauce.

And the toasted marshmallows if you want to count that. All you have to do is put them under the broiler for a few seconds and voila! Toasted marshmallows. Don’t worry about needing an open fire or a blow torch for these. 🙂

What makes these extra perfect is definitely the dark chocolate fudge sauce. I used my favorite dark chocolate from Chocolove, which makes everything rich and delicious, and it melts so beautifully too.

It’s the silkiest fudge sauce ever and you should probably make a double batch to have in your fridge for ice cream all summer.

And for iced coffee!!

I also rimmed the glasses in crushed graham cracker to get more graham-y goodness in every sip. It’s such a game changer for graham cracker and texture lovers like me! I did blend up a cracker in the milkshake itself, but its so delicious to have a little extra on the rim.

And sprinkled on top.

More is definitely more in this situation.

Make sure you use really great quality ice cream here too. We’re definitely covered with the best chocolate ever, but the ice cream is super important here too. Make sure it’s great quality chocolate and great quality vanilla too. The creamier, the better.

These are also great to make for a crowd because you just blend everything up in the blender and pour them up!

You can definitely make these non-alcoholic too if you have kids. Just leave out the liquer!

Happy almost 4th of July! Also tell me what your plans/traditions are for the 4th..I wanna know!

Ingredients

For the dark chocolate fudge sauce

  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, loosely packed*
  • 2 (3.2 ounce) bars Chocolove 70% dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the milkshake

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 graham cracker "sheet", plus extra crushed graham crackers for rimming the glass
  • 2 toasted marshmallows, plus extra for garnish*
  • 1 1/2 ounces coffee liquer (such as Kahlua)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk*
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate fudge sauce
  • honey for rimming the glass
  • whipped cream for topping, optional
  • extra chopped Chocolove dark chocolate for topping, optional

Instructions

Dark chocolate fudge sauce

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, light corn syrup, brown sugar, and half of the chopped chocolate. Bring to a simmer and simmer of 2-3 minutes, stirring to melt the chocolate. (Be sure to not let the mixture boil, because it will separate and become grainy!) Remove from heat, and add the remaining chocolate, vanilla, butter, and salt and stir until completely smooth. Let cool completely before making milkshakes.

Milkshake

  1. Rim your glass in honey and then rim in crushed graham crackers, pressing to adhere. In a blender, combine the chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, graham cracker, toasted marshmallows, coffee liquer, milk, and dark chocolate fudge sauce. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into the glass and top with whipped cream, a drizzle of fudge sauce, crushed graham crackers, chopped dark chocolate, and a toasted marshmallow. Enjoy immediately!

Recipe Notes

*I like using dark brown sugar here because it's richer and adds a more caramelly flavor to the chocolate sauce, but if you have light brown sugar on hand, that works too!
*To make my toasted marshmallows, I place mine on a foil lined baking sheet under the broiler for a few seconds until they get toasty and golden. Watch carefully though, they can burn in an instant!
*I love using whole milk here, but you can use whatever milk you like!
*This makes extra chocolate sauce, and it will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks! Use it for drizzling on ice cream, waffles, pancakes, and whatever your heart desires!
