This Sparkling Blood Orange Sangria is the perfect beverage to serve at brunch during the holidays! It’s filled with champagne, freshly squeezed blood orange juice, blood orange soda, Grand Marnier, ginger brandy, a touch of simple syrup for sweetness, honeycrisp apples, pears, and sliced blood oranges! Super festive and delicious!

I found my new favorite brunch cocktail for the holidays! This sangria definitely lends itself to brunch more than any other time of day, because it’s made with champagne instead of red or white wine! I typically really love red sangria the most, but this sparkling version is SO good and refreshing. And it’s gorgeous!

It gets its sparkle from the champagne obviously, and blood orange soda too! You know those cans of Italian soda? That’s what I use here. It’s so good and adds to that blood orange flavor! I use freshly squeezed blood oranges in the sangria too (can you even with that color!?), but I really love what the soda adds here.

I also used two different liqueurs in this – Grand Marnier and ginger brandy! If you can’t find ginger brandy, you can totally use regular or any other flavor that sounds good to you! I like using the ginger variety because it adds to the holiday-ness of this beverage!

For the fruit, I used a mixture of sliced honeycrisps (hi I know I’m predictable, but they’re just so perfect!), sliced pears, and blood oranges! Pomegranate arils or cranberries would be great additions too if you wanted to make it extra festive!

So the only thing about this, is that I wouldn’t recommend making it ahead of time, because it’ll lose its bubbles. You can definitely make the simple syrup ahead of time, juice the blood oranges, and maybe slice up some of the fruit, but for the actual sangria making, wait until right before you’re about to serve it!

This is also a perfect cocktail to sip on all day while you’re making the turkey tomorrow because it’s so refreshing, not too sweet, easy to drink (which could actually be a little dangerous!), and it’s super easy to make for a crowd!

And trust me, it’ll go fast.
