These Mini Dark Chocolate Tahini Cups are the best 6 ingredient treat to keep on hand for when that sweet craving strikes! They’re made with dark chocolate, tahini, honey, a little bit of powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, so they’re on the healthier side! The combination of flavors is absolutely delicious, and they make for a great gift too!

These little cups are my idea of the perfect sweet treat/anytime dessert. I can’t even describe how amazing tahini and dark chocolate taste together. It’s one of those unexpected combinations that’s just too good to be true. It’s right up there with my love of chocolate and peanut butter..and dare I say..maybe even better?!

And the best part of these little beauties: they only require 6 ingredients! 5 really, if you don’t count salt!

All you need: dark chocolate, tahini, honey, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. And some flaky sea salt to sprinkle on top because it just makes every dessert infinitely better.

You just fill mini muffin liners with dark chocolate, and then fill it with a mixture of tahini, honey, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. That combination tastes like literal heaven and it’s next to impossible to not devour it by the spoonful while you’re making these.

Can you even?!

I like to go heavy handed on the filling, because that’s the best part, in my opinion. But you can make the layers as thick or as thin as you like. When I make them with my preferred ratios, I usually get 10 mini cups out of it. The perfect little batch!

But you can easily double or triple this recipe if you’d like!

Is there really anything better than chocolate and sea salt?! I asked you guys that question on Instagram when I made these cookies, and 99% of you agreed with me. You are my kind of people.

And if you love flaky sea salt on gooey dark chocolate chunk cookies, these are right up your alley.

They’re also such a perfect dessert to make for Valentine’s Day! You can give them to friends, loved ones, or just make them ahead of time and keep them in the fridge to treat yourself with!

I went through a phase of having one of these every night after dinner, for probably 2 or 3 weeks, and I’m still not sick of them. They’re just the perfect bite of sweet, but not too sweet. The tahini and chocolate flavor together is unlike anything I’ve ever had. You HAVE to try these.

The completely wonderful thing about these, other than that gooey center, is that they keep well in the fridge for like a month..maybe even longer. But if you’re like me, they won’t last more than a week. Especially if you have others to share them with!

If you’re not a dark chocolate lover, these would work just as well with milk chocolate or even white chocolate! Or even a mixture!

Basically, mini dark chocolate tahini cups can do no wrong.

And you should most definitely share them with someone you love tomorrow!

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces chopped dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup tahini*
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • flaky sea salt for finishing*
  • mini muffin liners

Instructions

  1. Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until melted. (Mine usually takes 1 1/2 minutes total.) Alternately, you can melt your chocolate over a double boiler. Just be careful not to overheat, or else your chocolate will seize up!

  2. Line a mini muffin tin with liners. Spoon about a teaspoon of chocolate into each liner, and using a spoon, push the chocolate up about halfway on all sides. Repeat on all liners. Place muffin tin in the freezer for 5-10 minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

  3. While chocolate cups are in the freezer, make the filling. In a medium bowl, combine the tahini, honey, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir together until mixture thickens and all ingredients are incorporated.

  4. Once chocolate has hardened, fill each cup with about 2-3 teaspoons of filling (depending on how much you want). Cover each cup with melted chocolate until the filling is completely covered. Finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and place in the freezer again until set. Cups will keep in the fridge for up to 1 month!

Recipe Notes

*This is my end-all-be-all favorite tahini. It's incredible, and I haven't found any brand that comes close in terms of flavor and texture.
*This is the flaky sea salt I use and love!
